I love my job. And it’s couples like Rebecca and Scott that make me love my job even more. They are fun, sincere, and really love each other. There was so much joy on their big day!
They met each other at a photography meetup, so they are both into photography, too. You might remember they used vintage cameras in their engagement shoot. At their wedding, they had their friend Danny go around and take Polaroid photos of all of the guests. They got some great shots from what I could tell. Good fun!
The wedding was held at a church on Greenlake, which just happens to be a fabulous place to take wedding photos. What a gorgeous day (chilly but gorgeous). After that, they had an old Bentley (with driver) take them down to their reception at the fabulous Blue Ribbon Cooking School - a great venue next to the Lake Union houseboats - a perfect locale for a sit-down dinner party.
And would you just LOOK at how happy they are!! Sigh. They are just such an amazing couple and I’m honored to have been the one to document the day for them. It was beautiful from beginning to end.
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Mongrain!
Here are my favorite photos from the day. And I almost forgot to note that the absolutely FABULOUS Kristel Wyman of Vancouver, BC, came down from Canada to shoot this event with me. I could not have done so well without her. She is a fabulous partner!
And now, they are on to the “living happily ever after” part.

LOVE LOVE Jackie! Great shots, as usual! They really are SO sweet! Congrats Rebecca and Scott!
Beautiful photos & they love is very apparent.
Beautiful Jackie! My favs are the ones of them at Greenlake with the soft light on the left side of the shot, and the rings in the flowers! Just lovely. Cheers to the happy couple! And to the bride - LOVE your pink purse!
Jackie! We loved having you as our photographer. Seriously the day wouldn’t have been the same without you and the photos are SO FRICKING GORGEOUS!
@Kim Baruffi - My Maid of Honor and Best Friend gave that purse to me years ago when she returned from a trip to Thailand. She has a matching one in teal. When I remembered that I had it, I knew I need to use it at my wedding.
Awesome set of photos! You did a great job of capturing the day. The shot of all of us wearing the mustaches is ridiculously funny!
